La Roultiere offers a wonderful base by which to explore the area by bicycle. There can't be a better way to experience the countryside than by bike; its invigorating and ultimately relaxing.

The Loire has become internationally renowned for "Velo Tourisme", and rightly so. The region has heavily invested in waymarked cycling trails to make the most of our beautiful landscape and wonderful architectual heritage. Many of the trails are traffic free so making it incredible safe and enjoyable for cyclists of all. Whether you wish to cycle from La Roultiere on bikes available to hire there or bring your own with a bike rack to strike out further afield, a cycling holiday may well be one of your most memorable.

Cicular Routes from La Roultiere:

Crcuit Du Lathan: 6.5km/45mins; cycle from La Roultiere around the back lanes of Breil on a waymarked trail

Circuit Du Lac de Rille: 10.5km/1hr; cycle from La Roultiere through the to the nearby lake where there are two resturants and bars, watersports and picnic opportunities.

Circuit Jules Desbois: 18km/1hr30mins; cycle from La Roultiere, through Breil and past the chateau. Pick up the forst trail to Parcay les Pins, a village with a sculture gallery, a bar and resturant. Return through the Bois de la Graine de Sapin and back along the lake to La Roultiere.

Circuit de Gizeux: 30km/3hr30mins cycle through the village of Parcay les Pins into flat open farmland and onto the Chateau village of Gizeaux (bars, boulangerie etc). Return via the forest and along the banks of Lac de Picemaille.
